The Eye of Horus first opened over the Nile, guiding the dead through to the underworld. It was a promise: you are protected, you are seen, you will be restored.

But the Eye did not close when the pyramids grew silent. It kept watching. The Ancient Witness places that unblinking eye on the sails of vessels that drift through a corridor of human invention, not steering, not saving, just observing. This artwork shows the corridor stretching from the first caveman hand axe to the age of ai consciousness. The Eye watches cavemen discover fire and carve stone tools. It watches Egyptians build boats. It watches Galileo risk everything for a clearer view of the stars. It watches the piano give way to the phonograph. The hot air balloon to the rocket. The television to the microchip. And still, it does not look away.

The atom bomb blooms. The Eye watches.
Apollo 11 lands. The Eye watches.
Spot Mini dances. The Eye watches.
Ai begins to awaken. The Eye watches.

But something has changed. The eye no longer heals. It no longer restores. It has become something else entirely, a silent, ancient witness to a species that traded the sacred for convenience, prayer for online engagement and worship for computation. The Ancient Witness asks a single, uncomfortable question:

If an all-seeing presence never acts, is its presence meaningless?
